Great Hearts Summer Programs 2023

June 5-16, 2023

Summer Programs consist of Summer Camp for any student currently in Grades K-3rd (those entering 1st-4th Grade for the 23-24 school year) and Kinder Readiness for new, incoming kindergarten students (including those on the Great Hearts waitlist). Whether you register for one or both weeks, it is bound to be an experience to remember!

**Due to the scheduled move to the new campus during summer 2023, Summer Programs will not be hosted at the Prairie View campus. Prairie View scholars will have the option to register for Summer Programs at either the Arlington, Irving, or Lakeside campus.**

Summer Camp

Our full-day summer camp supports the Great Hearts mission in an engaging environment focused on inspiring creativity and deepening a sense of wonder through action-packed themes.  Each week incorporates topics including science, math, art, literature, athletic skills, and more. Campers will laugh as they compete in crazy camp games, sing silly campfire songs, enjoy engaging activities, and make new friends. It’s a traditional summer camp experience with a classical twist!

Registration Fee: $35/scholar

Week 1 (June 5-9) – Full S.T.E.A.M. Ahead!: Brace yourself for a week full of hands-on learning and problem-solving activities as we go Full S.T.E.A.M. Ahead into summer! Activities will focus on science, technology, engineering, arts, and music. Campers will learn songs, science, S.T.E.A.M. style games, and more!

Week 2 (June 12-16) – Wild West: Driven by daring, dangers, and dreams of adventure, many have been drawn to life in the west. Inspired by this spirit of adventure, campers will enjoy activities based on the Wild West’s terrain, traditions, and transportation. Western-themed songs, games, and crazy competitions will set the tone for this wild week of camp!

Kinder Readiness

Grades: For Incoming Kinder (and Wait-Listed Kinder) Students Only
Students must be at least 4 years old and fully potty-trained.
Unique Weekly Programs: June 5-16, 2023

The Kindergarten Readiness summer program is designed to help students transition to the classroom community with ease. Students will practice fundamental skills, following directions, and learn teacher expectations. They will learn the joy that comes from learning to demonstrate self-control, build confidence through accomplishing new tasks, and start making new friends. Our teachers will model everything they will need to know about what it means to be a Great Hearts Prairie View Scholar! Students will wear the Great Hearts Prairie View school uniform as outlined in the family handbook and bring a snack.

With a unique curriculum each week, you can register for one or both weeks of Kinder Readiness to help your kindergarten scholar prepare for the exciting year ahead!
